Aviva Family and Children’s Services
Aviva Community Mental Health Services offers outpatient treatment for children from age 2 through age 20, primarily in the field (schools and homes). Among the Evidence-Based Treatments we utilize are:
PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) for ages 2-7, which involves in-session parenting coaching during play time with caregiver and child, focusing on decreasing the child's disruptive/defiant/dysregulated behaviors.
CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy) for ages 0-5, dyadic treatment with caregiver and child, focusing on children with a history of trauma and enhancing the child-caregiver relationship.
TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for children ages 3-18 who have experienced trauma; treatment involves individual sessions with child and collateral sessions with caregiver.
MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice) for treatment of children with disruptive behaviors (0-21), depression (8-21), anxiety (3-19), and traumatic stress (2-18).
FFT (Functional Family Therapy) for youth 10-18 with severe behavior problems which may include substance abuse; sessions involve all key family members.
SS (Seeking Safety) for youth 13-20 who have a history of trauma and at-risk behaviors, which may include substance abuse; individual sessions only.
