Video: Ramona

Ramona talks about her experiences as a caregiver and how PC-CARE made a difference for her foster children.

Dark text on light background bordered with abstract tan and several flowers. Text at top says "Testimonials from Real Parents". Text inside box says "“If you are having any kind of bonding issues at all with your children, any kind of issues at all, PC-CARE is one of the best places to go because they don't tell you what to do. They teach you.”

“It was really tailored to our family. I liked meeting with [my PC-CARE provider] and going over the goals I had, talking about some of the issues that we were having, some of the problems that we were seeing, and just letting her know that these are the most important things for me to see.”

“I think what I liked the most is she was also helping me. So it was helpful for my son but I think in a way she was coaching me just to be a better mom, or to have the skills to help my son.”

“It's wonderful. ...being able to not only be shown an example of how to respond in a real-life situation, but also demonstrate to see if you're using the tools accurately to help.”
“[My PC-CARE provider] would demonstrate it herself, so I could follow and know exactly what she was talking about. It was easy to engage and I didn't feel anything negative at all.
…Once I tried [PC-CARE], it's like, “oh, that actually worked”. By the time you're done, I guarantee your kids and you will be so close. You'll understand your children, and your children will understand you more.

…It was just amazing. I found out who my kids were. I've challenged myself so much because I see how that brightens my kids' eyes.”
